The order of the Serbian Red Cross society
The order of the Serbian Red Cross society was founded in the year 1876 in the way to have a award/decoration to distinguish the work and help of the society members and to honour donations to the society.

The order look was changed after Serbia became kingdom in the year 1882, thus the later items we call the "royal" type of the cross and the former items are called "the princely" type of the order.

The very firs type of the order was not marked and the producer will remain unknown, afterward most of the pieces have been marked thus the producers could be identified. The most common are Rothe&Neffe from Vienna, II 800 marked items assumed to be the mark of Jakob Leser from Germany and on the later issues mainly made by Arthus Bertrand from Paris and Huguenin from Switzerland.
